What is the congress fee?

• Delegate: € 1.500,- *
• Student/trainee**/health professional***: € 900,-
• Patient: € 900,-

* Delegates: physicians, pharmacists, dentists, and tenured scientists (Ass/Prof or full Prof). 

** To apply for discounted registration as a PhD student /non-tenured scientist under 40 years of age: please send a confirmation letter of your trainee status including your date of birth from your head of department to the conference organization.

*** To apply for discounted registration as a health professional (for example: dental hygienists, opticians/optometrist, nurses): please send a proof of function to the conference organization.

What does this cover?
This amount covers your registration and hotel for the duration of the conference (from 22nd till 25th of April 2024; three nights). The ISSjD24 team strives to organize an inclusive conference, with as many people as possible staying in the same place. We hope this will foster a feeling of community, and new collaborations as a result. In order to do this, we have designed very economical packages for registration, including hotel nights in the same hotel as the conference.

Please be aware:
The congress fee is based on single room basis. 
If you will share your room with another delegate, a € 150 discount per delegate applies.

Is it possible to bring a partner?
Yes, but partners cannot attend the conference unless they are also suitably qualified and pay for conference registration. If you share a double room with your partner, there is an additional total fee of € 250 per room. This fee includes double room occupancy for three nights. It also includes dinner on Monday and Wednesday.

What are the payment options?
Participants can pay in two different ways:

1. iDEAL
Participants can pay via iDEAL. Please note that iDEAL only works with Dutch banks and is therefore not suitable for international participants.

2. Credit card and Paypal
​​Participants can pay via credit card and PayPal (Mastercard, VISA and American Express)

Is it possible to arrange my own accommodation?
Our strong preference is for you to take advantage of the arranged conference package. However, we understand that you may have other preferences and have also catered to these below:

Additional nights
Any other nights are on request, subject to availability and at your own expense. In case you would like to extend your stay at hotel Zuiderduin, you can request extra dates upon your online registration. The congress organisation will check the availability for you. Please note that this additional booking is not final until you have received a confirmation email from the congress organisation, stating that the additional nights are confirmed. You will pay for the extra night(s) at the hotel upon your check-out. 

What are the check-in and check-out times at Hotel Zuiderduin?
Check-in: 15.00 hrs 
Check-out: 10.30 hrs

Is transportation from/to the airport included? 
No, the airport transfers are not included. Via this website you can book a shared shuttle (on Monday and Thursday) by touringcar between Amsterdam Schiphol and the Congress Venue. If the time / or dates do not correspond to your wishes, you can send an e-mail to info@taxitromp.nl (subject: International Symposium for Sjögren’s Disease) and ask for a rate for a private taxi transfer.

My abstract is accepted as a poster presentation, but unfortunately I will not be able to attend the congress. Can someone else present the poster?
Yes, but only as they are listed as co-author of the abstract. A notification to the organising committee is not needed.

My abstract is accepted for an oral presentation and I am listed as presenting author, but unfortunately I will not be able to attend the congress. Can someone else present?
Yes, as long as they are listed as co-author of the abstract. Please let the organising committee know as soon as possible via: info@16issjd.com.
